Dr. Maria Longo
Dr. Maria Longo graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1988. Prior to studying at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine she attended Boston University where she earned a B.A. in Biology after starting as an art major.
Dr. Longo has been practicing for over 36 years. She has been in her current location for 29 years. Since she began practicing dentistry, Dr. Longo has kept up to date on many continuing educational classes and technology, ensuring that her patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care.
For over 25 years she has been studying the biomechanics of the head, neck, the airway connection, and how it relates to teeth and the rest of the body. She has been treating patients with Temporomandibular Joint pain (TMJ), muscle pain, and tooth sensitivity and wear. She is an active member of The Academy of General Dentistry, The Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, The Orognathic and Bioesthetic Institute (OBI), and The Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
She is a graduate of The Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies (2003), The Piper Center (2004), The Schuster Center (2000), and The Orognathic and Bioesthetic Institute (OBI)(2009-2011). She has trained at The Pankey Institute (2007). She was selected as one of America's Top Dentists for 2005, 2006 , 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 by The National Research Council. She was awarded Best of Boston in 2020. She has also been awarded a Peer Reviewed Award for excellence in dentistry for 2013. Dr. Longo was appointed and is currently faculty at the OBI Foundation.
Together with Dr. Coubrough and the rest of the staff, the practice has earned the TALK of the TOWN AWARD for 2010 and 2011 for excellence in service and Best of Brookline 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
She was recognized in 2006 as one of the Top International Dental Professionals of the year. She was honored in 2007 by the National Association of Professional and Executive Women. She has published numerous articles in Full mouth reconstruction and aesthetic dentistry. Maria enjoys spending time with her family, oil painting, playing her guitars, and the outdoors year round.

Dr. Heather Coubrough
Dr. Heather Coubrough was born in Michigan and raised in Troy, a suburb of Detroit. One of her first full-time jobs was working at an orthodontist’s office during her high school years. It was there that she came to love the field and began to set her sights on a career in dental medicine. While her path was not direct, it was purposeful and driven by a passion for the craft.
With her goal of becoming a general dentist and owning her own practice in mind, Dr. Coubrough earned her BS in Business Administration from Boston University in 2002, completed a post-baccalaureate program at Harvard to attain her prerequisites for Dental school in 2005, and graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2010. She has been a practicing general dentist in Boston’s Back Bay since 2010. She completed her Fellowship with Academy of General Dentistry in 2018, is an alumna of the OBI Foundation for Bioesthetic Dentistry and was certified in 2018 for the administration of Botox®. Dr. Coubrough has been voted Boston's "Top Dentist" in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Dr. Coubrough is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Outside of the office she enjoys the outdoors, live music and most especially skiing with her family.

Pam Arvanitis
RDH
Pam Arvanitis is originally from Greece and immigrated at a young age to Boston. She has been a hygienist at Longo Dental Associates for over 22 years. She graduated from Middlesex Community College in 1990 with an associate degree in Dental Hygiene. She keeps up to date with all of dental hygiene's advancements by enrolling in courses and seminars. She is certified in Advanced Life Support.
No one loves helping you maintain your teeth and mouth as clean as possible than Pam. She is constantly been requested for hygiene appointments more than anyone in our practice!
Paula Santos
Paula Santos is a native of Brazil and has been working at Longo Dental Associates for over 12 years.
She loves what she does, and does everything possible to make your dental experience a relaxing and calm experience.
She is continually enrolling in dental advancement classes and is OSHA educated.
She is certified in sedation dental assisting.
